The Italian Teachers Association (ITA) is a chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI). We serve educators in New York City and Westchester County.
The ITA provides its members a communicative network among colleagues and offers various opportunities for professional growth, including workshops, conferences, lectures, and culturally enriching events.
Additionally, we offer grants for educators wishing to promote Italian language and culture in their schools, and we share scholarship opportunities for students.

Our mission is to continue the tradition of promoting the study, teaching, and appreciation of Italian culture and language in our community. We provide opportunities for community engagement and professional development for New York City and Westchester educators, and we honor the accomplishments of professionals in the field.
We are a group of current and former educators, authors, and businesswomen who are united in promoting Italian language and culture. Please reach out at itany.aati@gmail.com if you are interested in joining our committee or to make an inquiry.
