ITA Annual Poetry Contest - Nov 4, 2023

The ITA held its annual Italian Poetry Contest for middle and high school students on November 4, 2023 at NYU's Casa Italiana. We were honored to be accompanied by Director and Professor Stefano Albertini who opened the event.

We were delighted to have 44 student contestants this year! student chose a poem to recite at the event and were joined by their teachers and families.  Students had the opportunity to 

  • enrich their knowledge of Italian language and literature
  • practice their presentation skills
  • meet other students of Italian as well as professionals in the field
  • explore an Italian cultural institution

Road to Italian Studies Biannual Webinar

In this biannual webinar, high school students have opportunity to engage with a panel of college students and professionals in the field to learn about... 

 

  • studying Italian in college
  • study abroad opportunities 
  • career pathways in Italian  


Our panel speakers so far have come from backgrounds in international education, computer science, curatorial research, and entrepreneurship.


Due to privacy concerns, we do not record Road to Italian Studies webinars.
